How do I accept or decline a friend request?

Somebody has asked to connect. Open the Friends tab and tap Requests, the right half of the switch at the top, which carries a count when anything is waiting. Every request sits there with three buttons next to it.

What the three buttons do

• The tick accepts. You become friends, and your display name and profile picture become visible to them.
• The cross declines. The request goes away. They aren’t told, and nothing stops them asking again later.
• The flag reports. That blocks them silently, and they can never send you another request. “How do I unfriend, block or report someone?” walks through the form.

Accepting is the moment your name and picture are revealed. That’s why Lumoria says “Only accept requests from people you know and trust” right above the list.

Why you only see a @username

On purpose, and it protects both of you. A request never carries a display name or a photo, in either direction: only the handle, and a circle with the first two letters of it. If you don’t recognise the handle, you don’t have to guess: decline it. “What can my friends see about me?” covers what changes when you say yes.

Requests you sent

They have no list of their own. Search the person again under Friends tab → + and their row reads “Friend request sent” until they answer. You can’t send a second one meanwhile: by code or by card, Lumoria says “@name hasn’t answered your last request yet.”

If the list is empty

“No pending requests”, with “Friend requests sent to you will show up here.” That’s the right screen: nobody has asked. Requests also arrive as a notification if you have those on: see “Which notifications does Lumoria send?”.
