What are matte, glossy and embossed?
They’re finishes: the surface your ticket looks printed on. You pick one at the end of the style step. A finish changes how the ticket behaves as you tilt the phone, not what is written on it.
- Matte: a soft, paper-like surface. The default, and free on every account.
- Glossy: catches the light as you tilt.
- Embossed: the text and accents are pressed into the surface.
Glossy and Embossed need an Early Adopter seat. On a free account you can still see them, marked with a crown; tapping one opens the Early Adopter sheet. “How do I style a ticket?” covers the rest of that step.
Can I change it later?
Yes. Open the ticket, tap ⋯ in the top bar and choose Edit. That puts you back in the same flow, with the finish step where you left it. “How do I edit or delete a ticket?” has the rest of what Edit can change.
The finish follows the ticket everywhere: into exports, into the iMessage sticker, into the widget. It isn’t only a preview effect.
