What is a Moment?

A Moment is one thing inside a Memory. The ticket is a Moment. So is the photo you took, the note you wrote on the train home, and how the day felt. A Memory is the container; Moments are what it holds.

The nine kinds

• Ticket: make a ticket, or add one you already have.
• Media: photos and videos from your library, or shot in the app.
• Note: write down what you want to keep.
• Voice: record how it sounded.
• Mood: log how the day felt.
• Apple Music: pin the song or playlist you had on.
• Weather: save what the sky was doing.
• Map: pin where you were, or the trip you took.
• Station: the stop you kept coming out of, and the lines you took.

Adding one

1. Open a Memory and tap the + button, bottom right.
2. The Add a Moment sheet opens: those nine kinds, as tiles.
3. Tap the one you want. It takes you straight into it.

Each kind has an article of its own. “How do I add photos and videos to a Memory?”, “How do I write a note in a Memory?” and “How do I record a voice memo?” are the ones people reach for first.

How Moments are laid out

Every Moment becomes a card in a grid two columns wide. Some cards sit in one column and some run across both, and Lumoria decides which. You can’t drag them into an order of your own. What you can change is the order they read in, with Sort… in the ⋯ menu. See “How do I rearrange what’s inside a Memory?”.

Moments in a shared Memory

The same nine kinds, and the same cards. Each card carries a small circle in its top-right corner with the initials of whoever added it. Who may delete what follows the roles. See “Who can do what in a shared Memory?”. There is no Sort… in a shared Memory, so everyone reads the Moments in the same order.

Removing a ticket Moment and deleting the ticket are not the same thing. “How do I edit or delete a ticket?” covers the difference.
