What is Lumoria?

You have a stub from a flight, a gig or a museum, and nowhere good to put it. That’s what Lumoria is for. You make a Ticket for the thing you did, and it stays on your phone as a designed keepsake, not a photo of a crumpled stub lost in your camera roll.

Lumoria is an iPhone app, and it’s in beta. Everything here describes what the app does today.

What do you make in it?

Tickets. You pick a category, pick one of its designs, and fill in the details. Lumoria prints it: a short animation plays, and the ticket saves itself. From then on it lives in your gallery. You can export it, send it to someone, or use it as an iMessage sticker. “How do I make my first ticket?” walks through a first one.

A Ticket is a keepsake, not a travel document. It has no barcode and nothing a scanner can read, so it will never get you through a gate. That stays the job of the real pass in Wallet.

What are Memories for?

A Memory holds things that belong together in one place: a holiday, a festival, an event, an afternoon, or any group of things that mean something to you. Tickets, photos, videos, music, notes, voice memos, moods, the weather of a day, a station you kept using: each of those is a Moment, and a Memory is where they sit together.

A Ticket doesn’t have to belong to one. A Ticket on its own is fine. But a Memory is what turns four stubs from the same weekend into the weekend. “What is a Memory, and do I need one?” has more.

How is the app laid out?

• Memories: the tab the app opens on, and where your Memories live.
• Tickets: every Ticket you’ve made, under All tickets. The + here starts a new one.
• Friends: the people you’ve added, and any requests waiting for you.
• Settings: your profile, notifications, the app icon, and this help centre.

What does it cost?

Nothing right now. Lumoria is free while it’s in beta. A free account has a cap on how many Memories and tickets it keeps. An Early Adopter seat lifts that cap for good, and a seat is free too, while seats last. “Is Lumoria free?” has the current numbers, and “What’s included with an Early Adopter seat?” lists what a seat adds.
