How do I create a Memory?

You have a weekend’s worth of things to keep together, and nowhere yet to put them. That’s a Memory. You make one from the Memories tab, the tab the app opens on, with the + button.

Make one, step by step

1. Open the Memories tab and tap the + button.
2. Type a name under Memory title. Name it for what happened. “Barcelona, March” finds itself again in a year; “Trip” doesn’t.
3. Tap the Emoji square to the left of the title. Pick one from the grid, or type your own under Custom emoji.
4. Pick a colour. There are eleven.
5. Tap Create Memory.

The button stays dim until the Memory has a title and a colour. The emoji is the one optional part. Skip it and the card shows a star instead.

The card at the top of the screen is a live preview. It shows the name, the emoji and the colour as you choose them, so you see the Memory before it exists.

The screen about friends

If you already have friends on Lumoria, the first button says Next, and a second screen follows: Collaborate with Friends. Pick the people you want in the Memory and tap Create & Invite. Pick nobody and the button reads Create Memory again, and the Memory stays yours.

With no friends added yet, that screen never appears at all. Sharing changes who can see a Memory, never what it is or what it holds. “How do I share a Memory with someone?” covers that side.

Nothing you pick here is final. Title, emoji and colour all live under ⋯ → Memory Settings afterwards, and a Memory that starts out private can be shared later. See “Can I make an existing Memory collaborative?”.

What goes in it next

Open the new Memory and tap +. That menu is how Tickets, photos, videos, notes, voice memos, moods, music, the weather, a place and a station go in. Each one is a Moment, and “What is a Moment?” lists all nine kinds.

If a limit screen opens instead

A free account keeps 3 Memories, or 4 once your invite has been redeemed. At the cap, tapping + opens the limit screen rather than the form. From there you can delete one you no longer want, invite a friend, or claim an Early Adopter seat for unlimited Memories. “How many Memories can I have?” has the numbers.
