What happens to my data if I delete my account?

It goes immediately, and it goes for good. The moment you confirm, your account and everything stored with it leaves our servers: every ticket, every Memory, and the notes, moods, voice memos, weather and stations inside them. There is no bin and no grace period. Because your content is encrypted with a key we never hold, we could not bring it back even if you asked us to.

How to delete your account

  1. Open the Settings tab.
  2. Tap Your account.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Read what it says: “This permanently removes your profile, tickets, memories, and invites. This cannot be undone.”
  5. Tap Delete to confirm, or Cancel to stop.

Lumoria signs you out as soon as it is done.

What is removed

  • Your tickets and your Memories, with everything in them.
  • Your profile: display name, @username, profile picture and cover.
  • Your friendships, and any friend request waiting on either side.
  • Your notifications, including the ones about you sitting in other people’s lists.
  • Your notification settings, and the token your iPhone uses to receive them.
  • Your invite link, and your Early Adopter seat if you hold one.

What it does to shared Memories

A shared Memory you created is deleted for everyone in it. There is one Owner per Memory and the role is never handed over, so a Memory you own cannot outlive your account. In a shared Memory somebody else created, the Memory stays and everything you added to it goes with you, the same as leaving.

If that is the part that worries you, leaving is the smaller move: it takes you out of one Memory and leaves the account alone. “How do I leave or delete a shared Memory?” covers both. And if you only want to step away from this phone, Settings has Log out.

What deleting doesn’t touch

  • Photos and videos in your photo library. Lumoria never had copies of them, only references.
  • Voice memo recordings. They sit in Lumoria’s own storage on the phone that made them, and go when you remove the app.
  • Tickets you exported, sent or posted. Those are pictures in other places now, beyond our reach.
  • A website sign-up made with your email address. It is unlinked from the account rather than deleted. Write to support@getlumoria.app if you want that gone too.

Your Early Adopter seat goes back into the pool for somebody else. Signing up again later means claiming a fresh one, and if the 300 are gone by then there is nothing left to claim. “What is the Early Adopter programme?” has the terms.

Usage measurements are anonymous, and they cannot be traced back to you once the account is gone.

If the deletion fails, Lumoria says “Couldn’t delete your account” and your account is still there. Try again, and write to support@getlumoria.app if it keeps failing.

Every moment, memorable.
