Can I make an existing Memory collaborative?

Yes. Open the Memory, tap the invite button in the top bar, pick your friends and tap Convert and invite. Everything already in it (tickets, photos, videos, notes, voice memos and moods) moves with it, so the people you invite open a Memory that is already full.

Step by step

1. Open the Memory and tap the invite button in the top bar.
2. Read the What changes panel.
3. Choose the friends to invite.
4. Tap Convert and invite.
5. Keep Lumoria open while it works. It moves your Moments across first, then sends the invites.

What actually changes

One real thing. Your photos and videos leave this device for the first time. They are encrypted on the way: scrambled, so only the people in this Memory can read them. Everything else stays as it was. You stay the owner, and nothing is deleted.

Lumoria asks for photo library access if it doesn’t have it. It has to read the originals to copy them across. Your library itself is never changed.

If it stops halfway

The conversion undoes itself. You are told how far it got, and the Memory is left exactly as it was, with everything still in it. Try again on a steadier connection.

What can stay behind

Three things can’t travel: a photo or video that is no longer on this device, one too large to share, and audio recorded on another phone. Lumoria tells you how many stayed behind. Nothing is deleted.

After it finishes

The Memory moves into Shared by you in your Memories tab, and each Moment starts showing who added it. It holds the same Moments it always did: a shared Memory is the same unit as a solo one. What changes is who may add and remove things, and that follows the roles: see “Who can do what in a shared Memory?”.

It only goes one way. There is no un-share. If everyone else leaves, the Memory drops back in with your own in the gallery, but it stays a collaborative Memory underneath.
