What are a Memory’s own settings?
Every Memory has a settings screen of its own, separate from the app’s. Open the Memory, tap ⋯, and choose Memory Settings.
The top of the screen counts what’s inside: how many Moments, and in a shared Memory how many Participants. The date you created it sits at the bottom.
The rows
- Details: the title, a description, the type (Trip, Holiday, Festival, Concert, Event or Other), a place, and the start and end dates.
- Appearance: the colour and the emoji.
- Participants: who is in a shared Memory, what each of them may do, and any invitation still waiting. Shared Memories only.
- Notifications: what this one Memory may tell you about, and how often.
- Leave this Memory: the way out of a shared Memory you didn’t start.
Nothing here has a Save button. Each change is written as you make it, so you can leave the screen the moment you’re done.
Notifications is the row most people come for. It has a switch for this Memory alone, a Mute for anything from an hour to “Until I turn it back on”, and, on a shared Memory with other people in it, switches for new participants and for what they add. “Can I mute a single Memory?” walks through it.
What isn’t on this screen
Sorting, pinning and deleting stay in the ⋯ menu. Inviting friends is a button of its own in the Memory’s top bar. The title, colour and emoji you picked when you made the Memory do live here, under Details and Appearance. So do the dates. “Can I set a Memory’s start and end dates?” covers those on their own.
These settings cover this Memory only, and the Notifications screen says so before linking through to the app-wide ones. “Which notifications does Lumoria send?” lists everything Lumoria can send.
If you see fewer rows
In a shared Memory, Details and Appearance belong to the owner and to admins. A collaborator or a viewer still sees Participants, Notifications and Leave this Memory. “Who can do what in a shared Memory?” explains the roles.
