How do I sort and favourite my Memories?
The Memories tab has no sort control. Your newest Memory is always first. What you can change is which ones sit above the rest: open a Memory, tap ⋯, and choose Pin Memory.
Pin one
- Open the Memory and tap ⋯ in the top bar.
- Choose Pin Memory. Unpin Memory, in the same place, puts it back.
Pinned Memories move into a PINNED section at the top of the tab. The cards look the same as everywhere else. Only their place in the list changes.
There’s a second way to do it. Press and hold a Memory’s card in the Memories tab and choose Favorite: the same action, under an older name.
How the tab is laid out
- PINNED: the ones you pinned. It only appears once something is pinned.
- ALL MEMORIES: everything else of yours, newest first.
- INVITATIONS: shared Memories waiting for you to accept or decline.
- SHARED BY YOU, and SHARED WITH YOU: the collaborative ones, split by who started them.
A shared Memory nobody has joined yet sits with the rest under ALL MEMORIES rather than in a section of its own. From where you stand, it’s still a Memory of your own.
Pinning is a setting on this phone, not part of the Memory. It isn’t uploaded with everything else, so it doesn’t follow you to another device, and nobody in a shared Memory can see what you pinned. Shared Memories can’t be pinned at all yet.
Finding one, rather than sorting
A name you’d recognise, an emoji and a colour do more here than any sort would. “How do I change a Memory’s colour, emoji and cover?” covers changing all three later on.
