How do I unfriend, block or report someone?

Open the Friends tab, find the person, and tap the ⋯ next to their name. There are two things there: Unfriend and Report. There is no separate Block button in Lumoria: reporting is what blocks, and it ends the friendship as well.

Unfriend: ends the connection, nothing more

For when nothing is wrong and you simply want the connection gone. Tap Unfriend and confirm; Lumoria asks once, because this can’t be undone. You come off each other’s friends lists. They aren’t told. Either of you can send a new request afterwards.

Report: blocks, and ends the connection

For when someone is a problem. Reporting blocks them: they can’t reach you, they stop appearing in your search and you stop appearing in theirs, and no request can pass between you again. They aren’t told any of this. It also ends the friendship, with everything unfriending does. The Lumoria team reads what you write.

Blocking can’t be undone from inside the app. There is no unblock button and no list of blocked people. If you report someone by mistake, go to Settings → Contact support, or write to support@getlumoria.app.

What both do to Memories you share

This is the part people don’t expect. Unfriending and reporting both walk through every shared Memory the two of you are in and separate you, one Memory at a time. Whoever holds the higher role stays. The other one is removed, and everything they had added to that Memory is deleted with them.

  • The Owner outranks everybody, so the Owner stays and the other person goes.
  • An Admin outranks Collaborators and Viewers, but not another Admin, and never the Owner.
  • Anyone else is a draw. Two Collaborators, two Viewers or two Admins both stay, and that Memory is left exactly as it was.

None of it can be undone, and neither of you is notified. “Who can do what in a shared Memory?” explains the four roles, and “How do I leave or delete a shared Memory?” covers the calmer ways out of one.

Reporting, step by step

  1. Friends tab → the ⋯ next to their name → Report. For someone who isn’t a friend yet, tap the flag on their request instead.
  2. Read the “What happens next?” panel. It spells out what this particular report ends.
  3. Pick a reason: harassment or abusive behaviour, spam or a fake account, they keep sending me requests, I don’t know this person, or something else.
  4. Write what happened under Details. Send report stays greyed out until this has something in it.
  5. Tap Send report. You get “Report received”, and under it “They can no longer interact with you. Our team will review your report.”

There’s no second confirmation after the form. The form is the deliberate step, and it tells you what sending it will end.

If somebody is in danger, don’t wait for the review. Report them, then email support@getlumoria.app so a person sees it sooner.

Every moment, memorable.
